Shared with Design students

The aim of the shared module is to allow students participating in theoretical education to acquire basic skills in the techniques and technology of creating works of art and objects. Design Solfege is a practical course in the first semester shared with Object Design students. Techne courses provide insight into the work of a different design programme (media, architecture and design) each semester. During the course, Design Culture students take the design and design theory courses offered as part of the MOME design programmes in the same order as Design students. However, students from the two programmes are evaluated differently. The aim of the course is to provide students with experience in design methodology and problem solving. Usually, between one and three students from the Design Culture programme are admitted to a design course. They work individually or in larger groups in line with the course syllabus.
