The programme trains professionals capable of the complex analysis of design and visual arts. During their studies the students are introduced to the methods of analysis of design and visual arts from the viewpoints of art history, social sciences, philosophy and comunication theory as well as to the integrated, interdisciplinary and critical application of the various methods. The thorough acquisition of the design processes of design, media and architecture forms a significant part of their grounding in theoretical reflection. The individual research and processing constitute the backbone of the MA programme, at the same time preparing the students for the doctoral studies. The graduates of the MA programme will find employment as design, architecture and art critics and historians respectively, but they can also work for design companies, and they can take part in forming the public discourse related to design in Hungary.
